2. Summary
This website is a static information site. We do not set cookies, we do not use analytics or tracking tools, and we do not embed content from third parties. Fonts and images are served from our own server; in particular, no Google Fonts are loaded. The form fields on the website are currently not active, and no data is transmitted through them.
Personal data is only processed where this is technically necessary to deliver the website (section 3) or when you contact us on your own initiative (section 5).
3. Hosting and delivery of the website
This website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare"). Cloudflare serves the pages and protects the website against attacks and abuse.
When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes connection data that your browser transmits automatically. This includes in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, your browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the reliable, fast and secure delivery of our website.
Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare under Art. 28 GDPR. Personal data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
We do not store any server log files ourselves and have not set up any additional logging of requests. How long Cloudflare keeps connection data for operating and securing its network is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
4. No cookies, no tracking
We do not store information on your device or read information from it — neither cookies nor similar technologies such as local storage. Consent under Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) is therefore not required.
We currently do not use web analytics or tracking. If we introduce audience measurement or online forms in the future, we will update this privacy policy beforehand.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you give us (e.g. your name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to steps prior to entering into a contract. In all other cases the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries addressed to us.
We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under commercial or tax law) require us to keep it.
6. Links to other websites
Our website contains plain links to other providers, for example to profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook, to a book on Amazon and to a PDF document on www.neuropilot.org. These are ordinary hyperlinks, not embedded content or plugins. Simply visiting our website does not transfer any data to these providers.
Only when you click such a link do you leave our website, and the respective provider receives your connection data (e.g. your IP address). The respective provider alone is responsible for data processing on its website; its privacy policy applies.
7. Your rights
With regard to personal data concerning you, you have the following rights against us:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, an informal message to contact@neuropilotvr.com is sufficient.
8. Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
9. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
10. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser starting with "https://".
11. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data.
12. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal situation changes, in particular when we introduce new features such as online forms or audience measurement. The version published on this page applies.
